JaisJais is a band with a lot of experience and a proved record of success in Europe. The music style can be described as a combination between pop/jazz and electro. The band is composed by two members- Alina Chatham and Michael Vuscan, with remarkable success and a lot of touring in the past. The artists had by now deals with major labels like A&A Warner Music, Roton Music and released productions with those companies. Their debut CD was recorded on in 2001 and they managed to move over 50 000 units on a very young market. Nevertheless, the disc has garnered loads of good press and the band was proclaimed “the revelation of 2002”.Since then they had many radio and TV recordings and special appearances on others artists productions. They did covers for magazines like BRAVO, ELLE, POP CORN, and were nominee for important awards like MTV Romania for Best New Group in 2002. Jais was for many weeks in top of the many charts with the single “Stay” and the airplay was absolutely impressive for a new band. Most important, major radio stations like Europa Fm, Pro Fm, and Radio Contact played it in heavy rotation. On many stations the single gained the first position in the charts. They have been guests in many TV and radio shows and had videos played on MTV, MCM, ATOMIC TV, PRO TV. In present they are playing in Canada and US where the artists start to build the fans base and touring, reactions being very positive and encouraging. These new materials are produced by Michael Vuscan in his own facility and are 100% original compositions. Both musicians are songwriters and lyricist. The strong melody of the songs together with the singers timbre (many critics compares the singer with Annie Lennox) creates a very intimate sensation. The songs are all the time related to personal experiences and they portrait love, pain, fear ,spiritual experiences and changes in their life. Serenity is a, down tempo production and reflects the need of expression of the both, artist being situated at the edge between pop, blues and jazz, creating accessible lines on simple chord progressions supported by sophisticated arrangements.
